Emily Westerlund


Emily joined Cenfri in January 2017 as the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Officer, where she focuses on developing the M&E framework for insight2impact and conducting ongoing monitoring of the facility’s various projects to track its impact in the development of the financial sector and on broader financial inclusion.

Prior to Cenfri, she worked as an evaluator at JET Education Services, assisting in designing and implementing external evaluations of interventions within the South African education sector and as an M&E Officer at the Adonis Musati Project, where she designed and implemented a sophisticated M&E system for a psycho-social support programme that targeted refugees and migrants in South Africa.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in international studies, University of Wisconsin-Madison
  • Master’s degree in monitoring and evaluation methods, Stellenbosch University
