Insurance can play an essential role in protecting society as it recovers and prepares for an uncertain future due to COVID-19.
Parsyl, a graduate of the Lloyd’s Lab, recently launched Syndicate 1796, to insure the storage and transportation of a COVID-19 vaccine, once developed, to emerging economies. Inclusivity Solutions were recently announced as the first homegrown African insurtech to take a place in the fifth cohort of the (virtual) Lloyd’s Lab in 2020. The participants heard from them and from new Lab cohort five-member Inclusivity Solutions on how they planned to use the Lab to develop digital insurance solutions to plug the insurance gap.
The audience learnt about the latest developments from Lloyd’s Lab – what it offered insurtechs and technology companies, how you could leverage the Lab to grow your business, identify new opportunities and, through Lloyd’s market mentors, increase your knowledge and broaden your network.
There were learnings from Baobab Network and Cenfri about the current trends and technology landscape for insurtechs globally and across Africa and what Lloyd’s was doing to support innovation through partnership.
The session was moderated by Driss Rhafes, CEO, CFPA School of Insurance.
