Jana is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a passion for leveraging her legal expertise to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. • A portfolio of technical assistance projects to a financial sector regulator in the MENA region to support and enable the growth of fintech and insurtech in the market with appropriate regulation and licensing and to develop a framework for consumer recourse channels.
  • Assessing the feasibility and implementation of Open Finance in sub-Saharan African markets.
  • Providing training to financial sector regulators on Regulating for Innovation.
  • Assessing the potential of remittance-linked insurance products in multiple corridors across sub-Saharan Africa.

  • Policy and regulatory analysis for insurance diagnostic reports in Ghana and Nigeria.
  • The role of insurance regulators in dealing with consumer data protection risks arising from increased data availability and usage.

When not at her desk, Jana is a keen runner who loves to explore new environments on foot.
