About the Insurance Innovation Dialogue

To support insurance regulatory authorities in sub-Saharan Africa strike a balance between innovation and risk, FSD Africa set up the R3LAb as a platform for capacity building and peer exchange among regulators.

In this process, FSD Africa partnered with Cenfri to conduct a study that would review and asses the state of innovation in eight African countries. This study reviewed and assessed what is needed to overcome challenges for innovation in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Nigeria and Zimbabwe. This session will discuss the regulatory, ecosystem and business challenges and the tailored recommendations for action

This 60 minute interactive webinar shared cross-cutting insights on how to alleviate the challenges and deepen the insurance market. The discussion focused on key successes and barriers to insurance innovation.
