Edwin Byusa


Edwin has sixteen years experience in development with a focus on capacity-building and system strengthening for government staff and stakeholders at both national and sub-national levels. He currently heads up the capacity building activities for Cenfri’s Rwanda Economy Digitalisation Programme.

Passionate about financial inclusion and stakeholder engagement, Edwin has published work in a number of international journals in the social science field. He has worked on several projects leveraging his expertise in Monitoring,  Evaluation and Learning (MEL), gender-responsive project cycles, results chains and performance management; data and data use for decision-making.

In his spare time, Edwin likes to visit different places with his family.

  • Master of Science in Environmental Management, Kampala International University
  • Bachelor of Science (Hons) Chemistry with Education and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Kigali Institute of Education (KIE)
  • Certificate in The Quantitative PhD: From Philosophy To Study Design, Data Analysis and Reporting by Stellenbosch University
  • Project Management for Development Professionals (PMD Pro I) certified in by APMG International.
  • Certificate Program in Research Methodology, Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar
