Arlette is the Rwanda Country Lead and the Partnership Lead for the Rwanda Economy Digitalisation Program. She is passionate about digital transformation (especially mobile money and other emerging technologies) from both operational and regulatory perspectives.
In her previous role as General Manager Innovation and Cybersecurity at the Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) she led a team in charge of establishing a conducive and secure regulatory environment for emerging and innovative solutions. She also focused on leveraging the available data for informed decision making.
Arlette has also worked within the private sector. She was with Ericsson for 9 years as a Solution Architect and later as a Business Analyst for Mobile Financial Services. She gained experience in designing mobile money solutions that are commercially and technically viable but also compliant. Prior to that she worked for Rwandatel and as an assistant lecturer at the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology.
In her free time, Arlette loves creating with art and crafts, and natural materials.
