Georgina Borros


Georgina joined Cenfri at the beginning of 2021 as a researcher.

Prior to this, Georgina has worked as a research assistant at the South African Labour and Development Research Unit as well as a researcher at the student-run NPO, Phaphama SEDI. Her academic research has focused on financial inclusion and broader social insurance participation in South Africa. In addition, Georgina holds a special interest in data analysis, having completed master’s coursework in advanced econometrics, microeconometrics and time series analysis.

  • Master of Commerce in Economics, the University of Cape Town (in progress)
  • Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Economics, the University of Cape Town
  • Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Drama and Film, the University of Cape Town
