Nolwazi Hlophe


Nolwazi is a senior research analyst at Cenfri and joined the team in January 2019. Since joining Cenfri, she has been involved in drawing up a toolkit on balancing financial inclusion and financial integrity. She is currently positioned within the Remittances team, conducting research and providing guidance to market players to promote financial inclusion and economic growth.

Before Cenfri, she worked for the Central Bank of Eswatini as a project manager and macroprudential analyst. Nolwazi is currently studying towards a PhD in economics with the University of Cape Town and holds a master’s and honour’s degree in economics as well as an undergraduate degree in econometrics from the University of Pretoria.
